The Return of Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur and The First Glimpse of Aston Martin DB11.

Last night, I was given an exquisite privilege to attend the newly-opened Aston Martin showroom in Kuala Lumpur. If you still remember my previous post here, you might already know that the showroom was relocated in the Golden Triangle of the capital city, which really made a lot of sense to attract wealthy customers. The showroom was located in Etiqa Twins in Jalan Pinang, which was just beside Impiana KLCC hotel and opposite KLCC.

This British supercar maker had been missing in action during the reign of Jelita Seleksi. After Wearnes took over the deal, Aston Martin gained back its reputation especially in terms of sales in Singapore. As a matter of fact, the brand would gain a strong presence growth like its neighbouring region.

With this new state-of-the-art showroom, it could squeeze up to five cars inside. Apart from that, there was also a place where customers can configure their own Aston Martin vehicles, known as the Q by Aston Martin. There was no service center yet, so owners had to bring their cars to service at the temporary sevice center at Bentley Sungai Besi facility.

To make matters easy and exciting, Aston Martin of Malaysia invited their customers and enthusiasts to come along the showroom at night. There was a lot of exotic cuisines and a selection of vodkas and other beverages to fulfill the excitement. Also, they unveiled the all-new Aston Martin DB11, which was essentially a beautiful state-of-the-art grand tourer that gained a lot of attention to everyone!

Here's the full gallery of the relocated Aston Martin dealership:

It's time to focus on their newly-launched GT car, the Aston Martin DB11.

The DB11 was firstly introduced in Geneva Motor Show this year and it was the first car launched in the 'Second Century' plan and the first model since the company's relationship with Daimler AG. It replaced the more-than-a-decade-old DB9 and featured twin-turbo setup for the first time in company's history. The car took its styling cues from the movie-only DB10 and the DBX concept.

With the newly revolutionized design, the DB11 had the superb aerodynamic level when it comes to downforce. For instance, the uniquely-designed and engineered Aston Martin Aeroblade which was just located near to the C-pillar. It was meant to channel the airflow from the C-pillar to the opening of the boot lid, which immediately added downforce to the car and thus it reduced air lift at the rear. There's also a rear active spoiler as well to provide extra downforce if required.

Under the hood, the DB11 came with a newly-made, 5.2 V12 with twin-turbocharged system with a total of 600 hp and 700 Nm of torque. North to 100 was just 3.9 seconds and it could reached up to 322 km/h. Power was delivered to the rear wheels and it was mated to a rear-mounted ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, you would find a beautifully-designed cockpit. Every panels and buttons were made with high-grade materials. Besides that, it had cushy, tailor-made leather seats, and pseudo-looking ceiling design, that looked like a Prada handbag stripe. If you wanted the interior to be something different, you could customize your own DB11 with a help of Q by Aston Martin.

On the tech side, you would see some bits of gadgets from any high-end Mercedes-Benzes like the COMAND system, as well as the wiper stalks and cruise control. Although they shared the parts from Daimler, I didn't see any such disappointments. Sitting in the driver's seat was pretty awesome as it seemed. You would see a new digital speedometer cluster to provide a clear and easy to look at while driving.

A whopping 5.2 V12 twin-turbocharged engine!

Hand-built in England yo!

How much did it cost?

Well, the Aston Martin DB11 had a price tag of RM2 million inclusive taxes and insurance. Adding your design preferences and accessories could cost you higher that the original price. The DB11 would eventually arrived in our shores next year due to a huge order counts globally for about 3,000.

Since Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur caters niche market, there will be only one salesperson that will assist the sales. You can contact one of my friend here below if there's any questions to assist and make an appointment to book your preferred Aston Martin.

Shoutout to Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur for inviting me to the launch of their state-of-the-art showroom!
