A so-called summary and experience from me: Nissan Crossover Club Gathering 2016

Yesterday, it was a very special day to all Nissan car owners and enthusiasts. This was the official and the second Nissan Crossover car club gathering conducted by the main Nissan car club officials after four years of absence. Among the car clubs were the genuine Nissan Group, Almerianz KL, Nissan X-Trail T32 Club Malaysia, Nissan Sylphy Club Malaysia, Serena S-Hybrid Owners Club Malaysia, Malaysia Navara Club, Infiniti MyQ50 Club, and the long-running Nissan Sentra Familia Club and My Latio Club. The event was also invited some representatives such as Edaran Tan Chong Motor (the official Nissan distributor in Malaysia since the 60s), Suzuka Oil, Ultra Racing, Raytech Window Tints, and King of Rims and many more. In addition, they also called over some young and talented musicians from the School of Drums, and Leona Chin, the most famous female racing driver nationwide and also currently take part in Renault Clio Cup China Series.

There were 116 Nissan cars involved in the gathering with respect to their clubs, and 6 of them were chosen as the Star Cars to display just outside Lakeview Club. and the event was conducted in Lakeview Club, Subang Jaya. The meet-up point was located at the parking lot that was connected to an LRT station in Glenmarie and started at 7:00 a.m. When all cars arrived at the parking lot, each owners got their goodie bags from Nissan Malaysia.

and a sweet looking Skyline 250GT (G25) sedan.

There's also a Silvia, a Teana and an old school Sunny too, all of them are in the Nissan Group.

At 9:00 a.m., the whole group moved their cars for an upscale photoshoot and video recording. After that, the convoy started from the parking lot to Lakeview. The convoy was planned really well as they separated the convoy into two groups according to the club, which means that there were zero chaos and traffic jams. Before the convoy started, all members got their lanyards from the group leader so they could join the buffet luncheon at the restaurant in Lakeview Club.

All car clubs arrived safely in Lakeview Club around 9:30-10:00 p.m. All cars were parked outside the club while the Star Cars were parked beside the badminton court which was just located in front of the club itself.

Below were mostly Star Cars.

More than 150 people were arrived at the restaurant for a buffet luncheon. We got to mingle lots of new people who like to share about their interest, crack jokes and most importantly, selfies. As Malaysia Day was approaching next week, we all stand up to sing the national anthem with pride and respect. After the national anthem ended, a welcome speech was given by one of my friends who was one of the representatives of MyQ50 club. The luncheon was started after the speech and dozens of people queued up for foods. While we brought the foods from the food corner, we were enjoyed by the music performance by School of Drums.

As the music stopped in two sessions respectively, the sponsor representatives gave their speech regarding about their products and customer experience such as King of Rims, Raytech Window Tints and Ultra Racing. Lucky draws were conducted by the club representatives according to the time slot. Some owners got lucky with their prize such as engine oils, Nissan merchandises, exclusive Legoland tickets, Ultra Racing bars, Groovy sunshades, Raytech tints, and discount vouchers for various car parts. Last but not least, the group leaders got their certificate of appreciation to show their best in their leadership in every car clubs. To sum the event, a final speech was given by the X-Trail club representative.

The event was spectacularly awesome and it was the best gathering event that I'd involved with. It was a fun and enjoyable event at the same time. I wouldn't forget all the moments during the meetup and the luncheon, and most importantly, I got to know a lot of Nissan owners and being one of the representative as a media and a member of the Skyline/Infiniti group for the event. The gathering was so special as it bind every Nissan owners and clubs disregard of what models they were driving. The main key of the event was that we showed our love and passion to the brand and equality no matter what race or age. Shoutout to all the main Nissan club leaders and members who coordinate this event to be a huge blast. To me, this kind of event should be taken by every car enthusiasts!

Since I got so many photos from the event, you can have a look here on my FB! :)
